For my Senior Thesis Class I'm developing my Character Design portfolio by making a new character and its orthos every two weeks. I decided, since I'm going to be taking orders from someone, to ask one of my classmates each week for an idea they might like to see and then I design it.
Finished concept design of the Porcupine Fencer for Johnathan Hamm. He uses his quills as his sword. I'll have his orthos done soon.
This is the grey version. Brown Version: [link] Black Version: [link]
Was going for a realistic yet cartoony look, like Ratchet and Clank or even Jak and Daxter.

Hmm.. His stature and costume is a bit bulky for a fencer... He should look more agile and less muscular.. Maybe you can slim him down a bit and give him lesser quils so that he looks faster/ more agile?
I appreciate it, but he was mainly influenced by his client which is a bulky fencer Also just a comedic attempt at a cartoony porcupine Thanx I do take your comments in mind, considering I'll never hire this guy as my bodyguard
